Rob Terry came out to our home within a couple hours of our placing a call to the Terry’s A/C & Heating office. (Office personnel were helpful and efficient.) Rob contacted me when he was on his way and quickly diagnosed the problem after arriving (condenser fan was overheating and turning off episodically). He let us know the cost of the repairs in advance, to which we agreed. He replaced the fan motor and capacitor, and the house began to cool down right away. Mr Robert Terry came to my home to try to locate a freon leak in my system that another company could not find. During his investigation, he explained what he was doing and why. He did find evidence of a leak on my condenser coil. I told him that I needed to discuss our options with my wife. There was no hard sell effort on his part. i cannot begin to rave about the service I received from Terry’s A/C & Heating. I was referred to Terry’s A/C & Heating by a co worker who had excellent service from them. When my a/c died on me last week I had a quote that was really high. Terry’s A/C & Heating moved that company right out of the competition with their bid and brought me 2 portable a/c units to use in my home until they could install my new unit. They wanted me to be comfortable until they could get to my installation. Who does that??? Robert and his brother constantly called and checked on us and even called back after they completed the installation to make sure everything was working properly. Unfortunately my a/c unit died last week. I was referred to Terry’s AC & Heating by a co worker who used them during the freeze and he was blown away by the service he received. I already had a bid to replace my a/c and heater so I decided i better get a 2nd opinion. My co worker talked to Robert Terry and provided him with a copy of the estimate I had been given by another company. Robert immediately wrote a replace quote and emailed it to me that blew the other company out of the water. This let me know he really wanted my business by being so timely. Actually I don’t even remember the other companies name…LOL…Robert told me he wanted to check out my a/c unit before he would recommend replacing it and determined I did need a new unit. I had gotten my 20 years of service out of the old unit. Robert could not install the new a/c unit for a few days and as a courtesy he brought and installed 2 portable a/c unit so we would be comfortable until he could install my unit. WHO DOES THAT????….He explained ever thing to us so we never had a reason to ask any questions. His estimate was clear and explained our warranties. Robert was constantly calling prior to the installation to make sure we were ok and if we needed anything or had any questions. He explained what time they were coming and how long the installation would take. After the installation he called to make sure everything was working properly and to confirm we were happy with his service. In the past I would use whoever had a special to service my a/c unit. Terry’s AC and Heating where do I start. December 7, 2017, Robert Terry came out to assist my family on one of the coldest nights of 2017. After trying to get our gas company out to our home to assist with our gas issue with continuous excuses of why they were not available & were willing to allow my minor children to possibly freeze Mr. Terry provided the most outstanding act of service ever. He found a way to make sure that my 10 month 2 year & 8 year old were in a position of not freezing on a night that went below freezing with snow. I can only say that those acts of service are definitely from a company that has values for service and understands customers. Installation went well and took about 3 hours. Had to wait out thunderstorms. A/C unit went out on Friday night and Mr. Terry came out on Saturday morning and determined we needed a new unit (5-ton Carrier) our old unit was 14 years old. He brought back a portable unit to use until he could get the new unit installed on Monday. Mr. Terry provided honest quality service all around. Mr. Terry is my freaking savior. Just moved into my new old home in December. And already the a/c crapped out. I woke up at 4am to a smelt-erring 78 degrees in my house. I contacted Terry’s AC. They made it out the same day and checked for leaks and added the freon. After reviewing the system again he noticed the condenser was not activating. Instead of replacing it like any other AC man would have of recommended in my experience, he began checking wiring. I tell you what. I was lost just watching him re-wire and re-route the electrical lines. Then suddenly my AC began blowing cool air. Turns out the overflow sensor was finicky at best and as a safety feature it shut down the condenser unit. Ended up being a very cheap fix. Thank you again, Rob, for solving my first world problem. My first experience was April 13, 2009. My downstairs unit was not working. I had called a well established company and that company told me I needed two brand new units for both upstairs and downstairs. I got Terry’s phone number for a previous repair service that doesn’t make service calls to my location. I phone Terry’s, they came the same day, and repaired the blower motor and charged the unit. They were and have continued to be friendly and professional. I will always use and recommend them for any AC and Htg repair. ~PatriciaW
After Hurricane Ike our A/C unit was smashed by a tree limb. After calling many A/C companies, Terry came out and said we did not need a new unit. They simply straighten the A/C housing and we got two and a half years more life out of the A/C for $100. In March of 2011 the A/C went out and called on Terry’s again. The were on time professional and delivered exactly what was promised. They replaced the outside compressor and did not try and sell a whole unit, stating that the rest of the equipment was in good working order, even though it was 20+ years old. They seem to be quite honest and helpful as opposed to many of the other ones. I was more interested in getting an honest opinion and estimate on how much it would cost to replace this compressor and they gave me this. They went through my whole air conditioning system and discussed what I needed. They installed a new thermostat. I mainly wanted them to give me an estimate on replacing a compressor unit and some other things. ~TomT
First, Mr. Terry and his son had excellent communication by returning phone calls in a timely manner and keeping appointments as scheduled. When they arrived they evaluated our AC system and found a minor problem with some of the tubing in the Attic having air leaks. This was causing extra strain on the system in the peak of the summer. Mr. Terry taped up the air holes and cleaned the outside condenser, all for $80.00. There was nothing else wrong with our unit. It certainly did not need complete replacement! He saved us $5000 of unnecessary work, and gave us very important information about new AC refrigerant requirements. In January of 2010, all newly manufactured AC units will use a different kind of coolant. If we had replaced our perfectly fine unit now, it would only have been outdated within 2 years!!!! Mr. Terry and his son were professional, and even more rare these days, honest. They have earned my lifelong business. ~GregG
Measured old unit dimensions in advance. Figured out how to remove the old unit and install the new one. Performed work in about 6 hours. Removed old Condenser and air handler with electric heat strips. Installed new 4 ton 14+ unit in the attic. Adapted new unit to duct work. ~E.G.
