Heating (Gas or Electric)
When the air turns cooler, it is time to turn up the heat! Terry’s A/C & Heating recommends gas furnaces or an electric heater to keep your business toasty warm all winter long. In our mild climate, a matched air conditioning and heating system can handle nearly anything a Houston winter can dole out.
The latest Ruud® heating systems offer a number of choices to maximize comfort and efficiency.
Heating Options for Light Commerical HVAC Systems
Terry’s A/C & Heating often recommends the following types of heating systems for light commercial applications (15 tons or less in size):
Gas-fueled Furnace – A gas-fueled furnace is the gold standard in our area for providing heat quickly and efficiently. Often paired with a Central Air Conditioning, your heater will use the indoor coil and fan to remove humidity and distribute warmth throughout your commercial building. If you have a big space to heat, this may be the right option for you.
Packaged Units – A packaged unit for indoor or outdoor placement combines air conditioning and heating (either with a gas furnace or an electric heater) in one package that is built to withstand the elements. Most commonly, these types of HVAC systems are situated upon a building’s roof or outside. These rugged units are the workhorses of climate control within light commercial settings
Ductless Systems – Despite what many people might realize these Mini-Split systems can be configured in many different ways to meet your heating (and cooling) needs. In the commercial setting, these can come with heat pumps that provide both electric heating and cooling.
Regular Fall Maintenance for Heating Systems
To extend the longevity of your system, we recommend regular (2X a year) regular maintenance in the fall for heating systems. To make maintenance easier to remember, business owners can take advantage of our Peace of Mind Protection Program, a scheduled maintenance and priority service program. We also offer a variety of specials to fit into your budget.
