Labor Warranties Now Available on New HVAC Installations

As a Carrier Factory-Authorized Dealer, Terry’s A/C and Heating will begin offering extended service plans on top of the generous manufacturer’s warranties we already provide to our residential customers. Previously, warranty service covered the cost of parts but did not include the cost of labor to install the new part and return the defective part. Responding to customer feedback, Carrier facilitated a partnership with Prime Warranty, a third party company that provides these extended service plans, to make warranty service truly hassle-free for our customers.

How Long Do Extended Service Plans Last?

Starting November 1, 2019, Terry’s A/C and Heating will offer 5- or 10-year extended service plans on top of the manufacturer’s warranties for all new installations. Best of all, we can offer these for any new installations that have taken place in the 2019 calendar year.

What Do Extended Service Plans Cover?

These extended service plans will cover a variety of different residential HVAC configurations including the following:

• Traditional central air and heat system (gas or electric heat)
• Air conditioning only (covering a condenser and evaporator coil)
• Furnace or heater only (covering an air handler and heater)
• Ductless mini-split air conditioning and heating systems
• Variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems

Extended service plans can ensure that a repair due to a defective part is almost carefree, costing only the diagnostic fee to determine the cause of the problem. From there, Terry’s A/C and Heating handles all of the paperwork for both the manufacturer’s warranty and extended service plan. We also return the part(s) to the manufacturer for reimbursement in about 30-45 days. These new extended service plans are optional for our customers, but they offer a way to build in even more security in the event of a large repair.
