Peace of Mind Protection Program Gets an Update

Keeping your home or office comfortable is what we do best. And, the HVAC options, from traditional Central Air and Heat to the latest ductless mini-split units, are more energy efficient than ever. But the climate does take a toll on equipment. Just like you’d take your car in for routine maintenance to keep the engine running, this is why we recommend maintaining your HVAC system each fall and spring. It is a key ingredient to avoiding breakdowns. Let’s face it. Breakdowns never happen at convenient times! Friends or family are in town, it’s a weekend, or the worst — it’s a holiday weekend. {{shudder}}.

What is the Peace of Mind Protection Program?

Terry’s A/C and Heating created our Peace of Mind Protection Program, a scheduled maintenance program for your HVAC system, to make regular maintenance easier. We also give priority service because we know that a properly maintained system rarely breaks down. In the Greater Houston area, the best times to service HVAC equipment is when it isn’t blazing hot or freezing cold – generally, the fall or the spring. Once you sign up for scheduled maintenance, we can make your appointment up to a year in advance and make sure your equipment is in tip-top shape twice a year before the “peak” heating or cooling season arrives.

What services are included in the scheduled maintenance program?

Our customers have spoken – and we have responded by simplifying the options available within the Peace of Mind Protection Program. Instead of four plans, we are now offering two — one with service to your condensate drain and one without during the maintenance visits. If you maintain that drain yourself – fantastic! (Check out this helpful post to do it yourself with pictures!) If your drain hasn’t been maintained in a while or you’ve ever had a clog, we can blow out that drain and take some countermeasures to ensure it doesn’t clog and cause water pouring from the ceiling.

Signing up for Terry’s A/C and Heating’s Peace of Mind Protection plan means we come out to inspect your equipment twice a year in the spring and fall at a time that is convenient for you. The service involves the following:

  • Complete 21 point inspection
  • Reminder service
  • Minimum of 1 year repair warranty
  • Wash outdoor condenser with water
  • Pre-season scheduling
  • Diagnostic charge for repairs waived all year long
  • Monthly payment option
  • 4% preferred pricing adjustment on most parts, repairs, accessories, and systems
  • Priority service and no afterhours rates in the unlikely event of a breakdown

I’m Already in the Program? What Changes?

Nothing at all. When we are in touch for your fall service, we can discuss your specific needs and answer any questions. The majority of customers who signed on for this program within the last year will be receiving the same level of service they had before. We are aiming to process renewals in the fall so we can set our schedule around the holidays and prepare for the spring.
